"You must be rich in devotion to God. Great devotees pray that their difficulties may continue, so that they keep the Lord ever in their mind. Riches are a great handicap in the path of spiritual progress. Even though you may be rich, do not cultivate attachment to the bank account or to the mansions, cars and comforts you command. Have them, as if they are given to you on trust by the Lord."

"Engkau harus kaya dalam bhaktimu terhadap Tuhan. Para bhakta-bhakta yang saleh berdoa semoga mereka tetap mengalami kesulitan/kesusahan agar dengan demikian, mereka tetap bisa ingat kepada-Nya. Kekayaan adalah merupakan rintangan besar dalam mencapai kemajuan spiritual. Walaupun engkau mungkin bernasib baik dan menjadi kaya, namun ingatlah selalu bahwa janganlah engkau melekat kepada rekeningmu di bank atau terhadap 'istana' rumahmu, mobil maupun kenyamanan lainnya. Engkau boleh memilikinya, namun ingatlah bahwa semuanya itu hanya dipinjamkan kepadamu oleh Tuhan."
